World Bank approves $100M loan for PH COVID-19 response

The World Bank approved a $100 million loan for the Philippines' COVID-19 Emergency Response Project.

This loan aims to strengthen healthcare delivery by providing essential medical supplies and equipment such as personal protective gear, medicines, ventilators, and testing kits.

Funds will also support logistics to ensure timely distribution of these resources to frontline health facilities.

The project includes preparing guidelines for hospital isolation and treatment facilities and expanding lab testing capacity at national and lower levels.
