SEA Games CDM Fernandez assures support amid pandemic challenges

Southeast Asian Games (SEA) chef de mission Ramon Fernandez says Team Philippines is waiting for clearer guidelines on when they can start training due to the ongoing pandemic.

Fernandez expressed uncertainty about the timeline for physical training, which remains prohibited in Metro Manila and nearby provinces despite a downgrade in quarantine measures.

Despite challenges posed by the pandemic, Fernandez assured Filipino athletes of continued support and stated that preparations are ongoing with adjustments made as needed.

The Philippines aims to defend its title from the 2019 SEA Games held in the country, and officials are coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure quality representation at the event scheduled for November 21 to December 2 in Hanoi.
