TNT's Kelly Williams leaves game early due to calf injury

TNT's Kelly Williams had to leave Game 1 of the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals early due to a calf injury.

Williams played just 6 minutes and 15 seconds before leaving in the first quarter, with TNT replacing him with Poy Erram and securing a 90-81 victory over Rain or Shine.

Coach Chot Reyes expressed hope that Williams' injury is minor but acknowledged its potential seriousness given his importance to the team as the primary import defender against Rain or Shine's Aaron Fuller.

Despite Williams' absence, TNT collectively stepped up with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson contributing 26 points, 13 rebounds, and a triple-double of assists, steals, and blocks.

Williams will undergo further tests to determine his availability for Game 2 on Friday at Araneta Coliseum.
