TNT secures eight-day break before PBA semis

Holder TNT has secured an eight-day break before entering the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals next week after defeating NLEX in four matches and waiting for Rain or Shine and Magnolia to settle their deciding Game 5 this Saturday.

Coach Chot Reyes emphasized the importance of using this break wisely to rest players while maintaining their sharpness for the upcoming semifinals, stating that any chance for them to rest is crucial at this stage.

TNT's challenge is to ensure that key players like Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Calvin Oftana, and veterans Jayson Castro, Kelly Williams, and RR Pogoy are both rested and prepared, as Reyes noted the need for a good determination on the quality of their preparation.

Barangay Ginebra, TNT's rival from the previous championship, also has a break before facing either San Miguel Beer or Converge in the semifinals following their own series of games.

At this point, no matter who they play—San Miguel or Converge—TNT knows it will be tough and that proper preparation during the break is crucial.
