VP Sara Duterte emphasizes unity during Eid'l Fitr

Vice President Sara Duterte emphasized unity and sharing during this year's Eid'l Fitr celebration on Monday.

In her video message from The Hague, she wished peace, enlightenment, and eternal happiness to Muslims across the country.

Duterte highlighted the importance of unity and compassion as key teachings from the Qur'an, encouraging blessings for family and those in need.

She also prayed that people's sacrifices would be rewarded with love and prosperity, guiding them on a path of goodness and unity.

Eid'l Fitr marks the end of Ramadan and was officially declared to begin on March 31, 2025, by various Islamic authorities.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared April 1, 2025 as a regular holiday nationwide for Eid'l Fitr.

Some regions also designated March 31 as a non-working holiday and suspended classes in observance of the festival.
