VP Sara won't appear before NBI over killing claims

Vice President Sara Duterte will not appear before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Friday to address her alleged order to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and claims of threats against her life.

Her legal counsel, Atty. Paul Lim, confirmed that Duterte cannot attend due to prior commitments and requested a rescheduling.

The NBI will investigate supposed threats to Duterte's life as well as her remarks about ordering the killing of Marcos and other officials, emphasizing they take these allegations seriously.

NBI Director Jaime Santiago stated that the vice president needs to cooperate in providing specific details regarding the alleged threat on her life and those made against President Marcos Jr. and others.

Santiago also mentioned that around 10 to 12 individuals who participated in Duterte's late-night press conference will be issued subpoenas for further questioning, with most being media members who asked questions during the event.
