Sara Duterte balances VP duties and dad’s legal team from The Hague

Vice President Sara Duterte addressed concerns about her duties while aiding her father’s legal team in The Hague, Netherlands.

Duterte emphasized her responsibility to help a Filipino citizen held at the ICC detention facility and stated that she is multitasking by working remotely from abroad.

She assured that her office's projects continue to progress daily despite her uncertain return date due to ongoing legal team formation for her father.

On Thursday, March 20, Duterte joined the Senate probe into her father’s arrest via phone from The Hague, where she denounced the former president's arrest as illegal and a violation of due process.

Responding to Malacañang's advice for her to return to the country, Duterte said she manages her office remotely through daily communication with staff while also coordinating her father's legal defense at the ICC.

Though she confirmed she had already booked a return flight in April, Duterte told reporters she does not yet know when she would return to the Philippines.
