Villar leads Philippines' billionaires with $17.2B net worth

Manuel B. Villar Jr., with a net worth of $17.2 billion, leads the Philippines' billionaires list according to Forbes Magazine's latest ranking.

Villar, aged 75 and a self-made tycoon, ranks 117th globally, followed by Enrique K. Razon Jr., who ranks 227th with a net worth of $10.9 billion.

San Miguel Corporation Chairman Ramon S. Ang rounds out the top three Filipino billionaires at #979 with a net worth of $3.7 billion.

The Sy family, including Henry Sy Jr., Hans Sy, Herbert Sy, Harley Sy, Teresita Sy-Coson, and Elizabeth Sy, are among the most represented in this year's list.

Eusebio Tanco made his debut on Forbes' list with a net worth of $1.2 billion after tripling his company’s earnings to P12.6 billion.

The 39th annual Forbes list features a record-breaking 3,028 billionaires with combined wealth of $16.1 trillion.
