UP women's volleyball key players return for final year

Three key members of the University of the Philippines women's volleyball team—Nina Ytang, Joan Monares, and Irah Jaboneta—are returning for their final year of eligibility in UAAP Season 88.

The trio played a crucial role in UP's joint-fifth place finish in UAAP Season 87 with a 6-8 win-loss record, marking significant improvement from the previous season.

With Ytang, Monares, and Jaboneta returning along with new additions such as Casiey Dongallo and Kizzie Madriaga, UP aims to build on its success and maintain momentum for the upcoming season.

UP-OASD director Bo Perasol expressed optimism about community support growing stronger with the returning players, emphasizing the importance of continuity in their volleyball program.

The team will benefit from new coaching additions, including a head consultant and strength and conditioning coach from Italy, as they strive to reach the Final Four for the first time since Season 78.
