UP men's basketball starts preseason with quadruple header

University of the Philippines men's basketball team will begin its title-retention bid with preseason games starting Saturday, February 15 at Enderun Colleges Gym in Taguig City.

UP faces College of St. Benilde in the opening game of a quadruple header at 2 p.m., followed by San Sebastian vs. St. Dominic at 4 p.m., Mapua vs. Ateneo at 6 p.m., and Enderun vs. Guang Ming at 8 p.m.

Former UP coach Bo Perasol emphasizes that these preseason games are crucial for evaluating players who could join the main team for the UAAP, especially with the departure of key players JD Cagulangan and Quentin Millora-Brown.

The tournament offers an opportunity for new and returning players to showcase their skills, including Seven Gagate, Josh Coronel, Noy Remogat, Miguel Yniguez from UP, and Shawn Umali, Raffy Celis, and SJ Moore from CSB.

College of St. Benilde aims to improve its roster after a disappointing performance in the NCAA Season 100 finals against Mapua.
