UP experts urge sustaining COVID-19 efforts for 'happy finish'

Experts from UP on Wednesday urged the public and government to maintain efforts while COVID cases are declining to ensure a 'healthy Christmas'.

Dr. Guido David of UP-OCTA Research Team noted that sustaining this momentum could lead to a 'happy finish' for 2020.

Professor Ranjit Rye of UP-OCTA said on Monday that the number of cases is on a downward trend and approaching a flattened curve by September, but warned against complacency as the trend is reversible.

Rye emphasized that maintaining efforts under MECQ has been effective in slowing down the virus's spread.
