UP beats UST, secures twice-to-beat playoff

UP secured at least a playoff for a twice-to-beat advantage in the UAAP Season 85 men's basketball tournament with a convincing 78-60 win over UST on Wednesday.

The Fighting Maroons, led by Carl Tamayo's near double-double of 19 points and nine rebounds, bounced back from their previous loss to La Salle.

Cyril Gonzales contributed 14 points while Malick Diouf posted a double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds.

JD Cagulangan added an all-around performance with eight points, six rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.
