Ugas praises Pacquiao's performance in draw with Barrios

Boxer Yordenis Ugas praised Manny Pacquiao's performance after Pacquiao fought Mario Barrios to a draw for the WBC welterweight belt on July 20.

Ugas expressed surprise at Pacquiao's ability to compete at a high level despite facing a younger opponent and being out of action for four years, noting that many believed Pacquiao was finished after his loss to Ugas in August 2021.

Former titleholder Jamel Herring also commended Pacquiao, noting his return to championship-level competition after a long absence.

George Kambosos Jr., another former champion, believed Pacquiao won the fight but acknowledged Pacquiao's legendary status regardless of the outcome.

Pacquiao himself thought he had won the match, which was only the third draw in his professional career.
