University of the East (UE) remains competitive for a Final Four spot despite injuries, with a record of 3-6 after nine games.

UE secured a crucial win against University of Santo Tomas on Saturday, improving their teamwork and passing to earn an 86-73 victory.

Coach Jack Santiago highlighted UE's improved ball movement, recording 29 assists compared to their previous average of about 16 per game.

Rookie Precious Momowei led the team with a double-double (17 points, 18 rebounds) and five assists, while Abdul Sawat contributed 17 points and five assists.
