UE rookie Remogat scores career-high 24 in OT win over La Salle

Rey Remogat, a walk-in aspirant in the offseason tryouts for University of the East (UE), emerged as a standout player in their last two games of the UAAP Season 85 men's basketball tournament.

In UE's season-ending victory over La Salle, Remogat scored a career-high 24 points, including a crucial three-pointer in overtime that sealed the win for UE with an 80-72 score.

Remogat's performance was highlighted by his second-half surge where he contributed 20 of his total points, showcasing confidence and skill reminiscent of NBA star Steph Curry.

The victory improved UE's season record to 5-9, a significant improvement from their previous year's winless campaign.

While Remogat's clutch shot dealt a heavy blow to La Salle's Final Four aspirations, it marked a memorable end for the Red Warriors' season.
