UP's Reyland Torres cleared to play in UAAP men's basketball Game 3

University of the Philippines' Reyland Torres will be available to play in the decisive Game 3 of the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball finals against La Salle Green Archers on Sunday.

Torres was ejected from UP's close loss to La Salle on Wednesday for his second unsportsmanlike foul, but due to a precedent set earlier this season with Adamson's Jhon Calisay, Torres will not face a suspension.

Before being ejected, Torres played for almost 16 minutes and scored five points while primarily defending La Salle's Kevin Quiambao.

The UAAP clarified on Thursday that the nature of Torres' ejection did not warrant a one-game ban as it was categorized under a less severe unsportsmanlike foul (UF4) rather than UF2 or other more serious offenses.

Game 3 will take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday at 5:30 p.m., with UP hoping to level the series in this crucial match.

UP is relieved to have Torres, who averages 4.0 points and 1.0 rebounds in the series, available for Game 3.
