Tolentino leads MVP race; NorthPort in semis

NorthPort's Arvin Tolentino is the frontrunner to win the PBA Commissioner's Cup Best Player of the Conference award.

Despite June Mar Fajardo from San Miguel Beer having a higher statistical points total, NorthPort's playoff success gives Tolentino an edge as his team advances to the semifinals for the first time in over five years.

Tolentino accumulated 39.9 Statistical Points with averages of 23.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks.

Robert Bolick from NLEX is third but his team missed the playoffs, reducing his chances.

Tolentino's teammate Joshua Munzon ranked sixth among locals in SPs, while Kadeem Jack is a contender for the Best Import honors.

For Tolentino to win the award, NorthPort must advance past their semifinal match against either Barangay Ginebra or Meralco.
