TNT wins 5th straight, beats NorthPort 94-70

TNT extended their winning streak to five games with a decisive 94-70 victory over NorthPort in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Almond Vosotros, who rejoined TNT last month and was instrumental in the win with 12 points including four successful three-pointers, provided a huge lift despite not being renewed by the team after their Commissioner's Cup title run.

TNT established an early lead, leading by as much as 20 points at halftime thanks to a strong second-quarter performance where they outscored NorthPort 32-14, and welcomed back Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser who contributed five points and eight rebounds after being out for a year with an ACL injury.

The Tropang 5G's balanced offensive attack featured six players scoring in double digits, with Calvin Oftana contributing 15 points and 10 rebounds, while RR Pogoy added 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

NorthPort dropped to a 1-7 record after their seventh consecutive loss, with Joshua Munzon leading the team with 20 points.
