Hollis-Jefferson leads TNT to Governors Cup Finals

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led TNT to a decisive 113-95 victory over Rain or Shine in Game 5 of the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Friday, securing their spot in the Finals.

Hollis-Jefferson scored 36 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out nine assists including six steals, leading TNT to a dominant performance despite acknowledging Rain or Shine's tough defense throughout the series.

TNT's second quarter run, highlighted by a pivotal stretch where they limited Rain or Shine to just 14 points, put them ahead for good with a 56-39 halftime lead.

Coach Chot Reyes emphasized the team’s strong defense as the key factor in their victory, noting that it gave them numerous scoring opportunities.

TNT will face either San Miguel or Barangay Ginebra in the Finals, which are set to begin on October 27 at the Ynares Center.
