Tenorio's clutch 3-pointer forces Game 7

LA Tenorio hit a crucial 3-pointer with 2.1 seconds left to force a Game 7 in the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals between Barangay Ginebra and San Miguel on Sunday.

Despite feeling nervous, Tenorio scored all of his 11 points in the fourth quarter, including the game-winning shot that allowed Ginebra to stay alive in the series.

Ginebra's head coach Tim Cone praised Tenorio for making key plays down the stretch, emphasizing the veteran player’s leadership and clutch performance throughout his career.

San Miguel led by nine points with 8:34 left in the fourth quarter but Ginebra rallied with a 17-9 run to force overtime, mirroring their comeback efforts in Games 4 and 5.

Scottie Thompson recorded a triple-double of 17 points, 16 rebounds, and eight assists, while Japeth Aguilar added 16 points for Ginebra.

Coach Cone noted that the team was grasping at straws as they turned to Tenorio who delivered with crucial plays down the stretch, including his game-winning shot in Game 6.

Ginebra will look to ride off their 'Never Say Die' attitude and Tenorio’s heroics in Game 7 on Wednesday, 7:30 p.m., at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
