Telcos restore telecom services in Odette-hit areas

PLDT, Smart Communications, and Globe Telecom have restored telecommunications services in many areas affected by Typhoon Odette in Visayas and Mindanao.

As of Friday, December 24, PLDT-Smart reported wireless service restoration at 98% in Mindanao and 90% in Visayas, while fixed-line services are nearly fully restored in both regions.

Globe Telecom has restored network services in Mactan Airport Cebu, Siargao Airport, Surigao Airport, Ormoc City, Eastern Samar, and is nearing completion of restoration efforts in Palawan.

Both PLDT-Smart and Globe Telecom emphasized the importance of restoring communication services for residents to reconnect with their loved ones during the holiday season.
