Team Liquid Philippines wins MLBB MSC title

Team Liquid Philippines secured the country's fourth Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid-Season Cup (MSC) title by defeating defending champion Selangor Red Giants OG Esports of Malaysia 4-1 on Saturday, August 2.

This victory marked Team Liquid's first MSC win and ended a three-year drought for Philippine teams since RSG Philippines won in 2022, earning them US $1 million (P57.29 million) in prize money.

Sanford 'Sanford' Vinuya was named Finals MVP for his standout performance throughout the tournament, while Karl 'KarlTzy' Nepomuceno completed his MLBB trophy collection and solidified his status as one of the greatest Filipino Esports players with this win.

Team Liquid's triumph came after dropping the first game but sweeping the next four matches without losing a series.

ONIC Philippines secured third place in the competition with a 3-2 victory over ONIC Indonesia, earning them US $250,000 (P14.32 million).

Both teams will take a quick breather before competing in MPL Season 16, which begins on August 22.
