Tarlac logs 5 new cases, 1 death; total now 199

As of Wednesday, September 2, Tarlac logged one new death and four new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total cases to 199 with 12 deaths.

The latest fatality is a 75-year-old male from Concepcion town who died due to acute respiratory failure secondary to Covid infection.

Four new patients were identified as having contact with infected individuals; one of them is a 29-year-old health worker admitted to La Paz Medicare and Community Hospital.

On Sunday, August 30, Tarlac reported seven new cases, increasing the total to 188. Six cases are from Tarlac City and one from San Manuel town.

The province also recorded three new recoveries, raising the number of recovered patients to 91, while active cases stand at 89.
