Tall Blacks announce roster for FIBA Asia Cup

New Zealand's Tall Blacks have announced their roster for the upcoming 2025 FIBA Asia Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Veteran player Tohi Smith-Milner leads the squad, which includes Taylor Britt, Max Darling, and Jordan Ngatai, who all played in New Zealand's victory over Gilas Pilipinas last February.

The Tall Blacks are set to head Group D alongside Chinese Taipei and Iraq, aiming to replicate their podium finish from 2022 under coach Jude Flavell.

New Zealand recently secured a flawless build-up with wins against Guangdong, Brazil, and Montenegro, while Gilas Pilipinas is currently in Saudi Arabia after defeating Macau in its first tuneup match.

Both teams will face each other again in the Asia Cup, marking their fifth meeting since 2017 when the Asia-Oceania zone merged into a unified tournament.
