Taguinota wins two golds, joins Garcia as quintuple medalist

Tanker Arvin Taguinota won two gold medals in the Batang Pinoy competition in Puerto Princesa, Palawan on Wednesday, joining Pasig City's Haylee Garcia as a quintuple gold medalist.

Taguinota, an 11-year-old swimmer mentored by Olympian Jessie Lacuna, secured top honors in the 12-13 boys' 100-meter backstroke and the 4x50m freestyle relay.

Garcia previously achieved five gold medals in women's artistic gymnastics at the FIG juniors class on Monday in Manila, setting a high standard for athletic excellence.

FIDE Master Christian Gian Karlo Arca of Davao del Norte won three chess titles—blitz, rapid, and standard—in the boys 15-year-old division, demonstrating impressive versatility.
