Tagaytay reports first COVID-19 case

The city government of Tagaytay reported its first case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday.

Mayor Agnes Tolentino announced the confirmed case involving a 29-year-old medical frontliner working in a hospital and advised residents to stay home and follow local government directives.

Authorities are aware of those who have been in contact with the infected individual, and preventive measures are being taken to prevent further spread.

As of Wednesday, the country has recorded 5,660 COVID-19 cases, with 435 recoveries and 362 deaths.
