SWS: 72% of Pinoys received aid from gov’t amid COVID-19 crisis

According to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from July 3 to 6, 72% of Filipinos have received financial aid from the government during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The highest percentage of recipients was in Metro Manila at 85%, followed by Balance Luzon at 75%, Visayas at 64%, and Mindanao at 65%. Women were more likely to report receiving assistance, with 75% compared to 67% for men.
