Sulu donates rice, canned goods to NCR typhoon victims

The provincial government of Sulu has donated 2,000 bags of rice and 1,000 cases of canned goods to typhoon-affected families in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Lt. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete, commander of the Western Mindanao Command based in Zamboanga City, announced on Sunday that the relief supplies were being distributed through the 11th Infantry Division.

Sulu's vice governor, Hadji Abdusakur M. Tan, Sr., who is also serving as officer-in-charge of the provincial government, stated on Saturday that the Philippine Army headquarters and WestMinCom would distribute the food to those affected by recent typhoons in NCR.

Mr. Nafarrete highlighted the cooperation between the 10th Infantry Division and Mr. Tan's office in organizing this relief effort.

The Western Mindanao Command expressed gratitude towards Sulu’s provincial officials for supporting their compatriots in Metro Manila.
