Strong Group Athletics secures fifth straight win in William Jones Cup

Strong Group Athletics-Philippines secured its fifth consecutive victory in the 44th William Jones Cup by defeating Chinese Taipei B, 107-75, on Thursday at Xinzhuang Gymnasium.

Tajuan Agee led the charge with a standout performance of 25 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block in just under 16 minutes, contributing to a decisive 22-9 run that gave Strong Group a commanding halftime lead of 61-33.

Coach Charles Tiu praised Agee's offensive dominance, noting that the team played great from the start with key contributions from Ian Miller (13 points and three rebounds), Javi Gomez de Liano (12 points and 11 rebounds), Kiefer Ravena (11 points and six assists), Rhenz Abando, Dave Ildefonso, and Geo Chiu.

Strong Group improved their shooting percentage to 45.2% from beyond the arc with 14-of-31 triples and outrebounded Chinese Taipei B by a margin of 52-39 while dishing out more assists (27 to 15).

With this win, Strong Group extends its tournament record to an impressive 13 straight victories since last year's title sweep and will face Malaysia on Friday at 3 p.m., followed by their crucial match against undefeated Bahrain on Saturday.
