Stratbase urges Philippines to conduct joint South China Sea patrols

Stratbase ADR Institute President Dindo Manhit urged the Philippines to conduct joint patrols with 'like-minded' nations in the South China Sea to counter Chinese coercive activities.

Manhit suggested regular patrols with countries such as the United States, Australia, Japan, Canada, South Korea, and the EU, highlighting these nations' condemnation of recent dangerous maneuvers by China against Philippine resupply ships.

Bayan Muna separately proposed limiting joint patrols to ASEAN members only.
