Tropical Storm Kammuri displaces over 100K, Duterte orders full mobilization

Over 2.6 million people have been affected by Tropical Storm Kammuri (locally known as Ursula), with over 100,000 displaced and nearly 95,000 in evacuation centers.

The storm has caused flooding in several areas including Naga City where up to 70% of the population are affected.

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered full mobilization of all uniformed personnel for rescue operations, emphasizing the deployment of vehicles, aircraft, boats and ships.

There is a weather window of about two days for air operations in Bicol before another tropical depression could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The government faces challenges in delivering aid due to impassable roads and high flood levels. The President previously expressed feeling 'helpless' as the storm approached.
