SSS offers calamity loan up to PHP20K

The Social Security System (SSS) is offering a Calamity Loan Assistance Program for members affected by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng, equivalent to one month's salary credit or up to PHP20,000.

President Marcos Jr. signed Proclamation 84 on Wednesday, placing several regions under a state of calamity, including Calabarzon, Bicol, Western Visayas, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

SSS will also provide a Calamity Assistance Package (CAP) for members and pensioners residing in areas declared as under state of calamity by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, offering financial aid such as calamity loans and three-month advance pensions.
