Savouge defeats Cignal 3-2 in Spikers' Turf match

The Savouge Spin Doctors secured a hard-fought victory over Cignal HD Spikers with a score of 19-25, 27-25, 19-25, 25-23, and 15-13 in the 2024 Spikers' Turf Invitational Conference on Friday evening at Ynares Sports Arena.

Sherwin Caritativo led Savouge with 19 points off the bench, while Hero Austria contributed 10 crucial points in the fifth set.

Savouge's head coach Sydney Calderon emphasized teamwork and self-belief as key factors in their win, noting that they are now in sole possession of first place despite trailing early in the match.

Hero Austria and Charlee Magpayo were instrumental in sealing the match with crucial plays in the deciding set.

Cignal's Jau Umandal led his team with 21 points but had to exit late due to leg cramps, while Mark Calado added 11 points for Cignal.
