Unheralded spiker Sherwin Caritativo delivered a standout performance for Savouge in the 2024 Spikers' Turf Invitational Conference, leading his team to an upset victory over title favorite Cignal on Wednesday at Ynares Sports Arena.

Caritativo, who had limited playing time earlier, scored a game-high 19 points with all attacks against Cignal in a five-set thriller, helping Savouge secure their best start in franchise history at 3-0.

The win earned Caritativo the Spikers' Turf Press Corps Player of the Week award for October 16 to 27, making him the unanimous choice among print and online media covering the league.

Caritativo credits his family and friends for motivating him to seize this opportunity in the league after missing out on playing at the collegiate level due to circumstances beyond his control.
