House sets probe on Cagayan-Isabela floods for Nov. 24

The House Committee on Agriculture and Food will investigate the massive flooding in Cagayan and Isabela caused by Typhoon Ulysses on November 24.

House panel chair Mark Enverga stated that while they wanted to start the investigation sooner, scheduling conflicts delayed it until Tuesday next week.

Speaker Lord Allan Velasco, Majority Leader Martin Romualdez, and Minority Leader Joseph Stephen Paduano filed House Resolution 1348 urging the probe into the flooding.

Senate Resolution no. 570 was also filed by Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., with support from Senate President Vicente Sotto III and Senator Joel Villanueva, to investigate the massive flooding in parts of Luzon caused by typhoons Quinta (Molave), Rolly (Goni), and Ulysses (Vamco).
