Duterte delivers SONA with limited audience

President Rodrigo Duterte will deliver his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 27 with a limited physical audience due to coronavirus guidelines.

Only 50 officials and lawmakers have been invited to attend in person, while others will join via Zoom.

Initially, there were concerns about positive COVID-19 test results among invitees, which led to discussions of moving the event to Malacañang.

However, after further assessment, it was decided that Duterte would still deliver his speech at Batasan Pambansa.
