Solon push for permanent evacuation centers post-Odette

Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund Villafuerte and Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Isagani Zarate are pushing for the construction of permanent evacuation centers in disaster-prone areas following Typhoon Odette's impact.

Villafuerte suggested that part of the PHP10 billion relief fund should be allocated towards building these centers, while Zarate urged the Senate to fast-track a bill mandating such facilities.

The proposed law aims to establish sturdy and climate-resilient evacuation centers equipped with emergency response capabilities, food supplies, medical services, and backup communications.
