PNP: Social media monitoring of quarantine violators won't be abused

Joint Task Force COVID Shield commander Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar assured the public on Wednesday that any abuse by cops during social media monitoring of quarantine violations would not be tolerated.

Eleazar emphasized that this measure empowers citizens to report officials who violate quarantine measures, and PNP leadership will not tolerate any abuse.

Most apprehensions made based on social media posts during the pandemic have been local officials violating lockdown protocols.
