Dela Rosa urges PNP to focus on street quarantine enforcement

Senator Ronald 'Bato' Dela Rosa urged the PNP to focus on enforcing quarantine rules on the streets rather than monitoring social media.

However, Joint Task Force COVID Shield Commander Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar clarified that violators monitored through social media will not be arrested but serve as a basis for further investigation.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque defended the practice, stating it is not illegal under the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 if posts are made public and do not violate privacy.
