Fajardo, Quiambao, De Guzman to receive SMC-PSA awards on Jan 27

Three of the Philippines' top athletes—June Mar Fajardo, Kevin Quiambao, and Jia Morado-De Guzman—will be honored at the San Miguel Corporation-Philippine Sportswriters Association (SMC-PSA) Awards Night on January 27.

Fajardo will receive his Mr. Basketball title for professional ranks, while Quiambao receives it for amateur ranks after winning two consecutive UAAP MVP titles.

De Guzman, captain of the Philippine women's volleyball team, will be recognized as Ms. Volleyball for her leadership during the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup and SEA Women's V. League series.

Carlos Yulo, who won two gold medals at the Paris Olympics, will be named Athlete of the Year.

Other notable awardees include Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas, who both earned bronze medal performances in Paris.
