Quezon City launches Pfizer jabs, sets up mega site at Smart Arena

The Quezon City government began rolling out Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations on Thursday for medical frontliners, senior citizens, and those with comorbidities.

Vaccinations took place at Capitol Medical Center and St. Luke’s Medical Center in different barangays.

Starting Saturday, the Smart Araneta Coliseum will serve as a mega vaccination site capable of administering 1,000 to 1,500 doses daily.

Mayor Joy Belmonte expressed gratitude towards the Araneta Group for offering the venue free of charge and emphasized its suitability due to adequate space and accessibility.
