SM Prime to start Manila Bay project horizontal development next year

SM Prime Holdings Inc., one of Southeast Asia's largest property developers, plans to begin the horizontal development of its 360-hectare Integrated Property Development in Manila Bay as early as next year.

According to SM Prime President Jeffrey Lim, reclamation work will be completed by the end of this year, allowing for immediate horizontal development even before handing over the project to the national government and Pasay City in 2028.

Lim said the master plan is expected to be finalized within the first half of this year, while horizontal development will begin in 2027.

SM Prime is committed to sustainable urbanization and aims for this project to position the Philippines as a prime investment destination, contributing to job generation, economic expansion, and community development.

Chairman Henry Sy Jr. emphasized that SM Prime will prioritize integrated property developments across key locations in the Philippines, designed to stimulate regional economies and create jobs.
