Senate OKs reso recommending face-to-face classes pilot test

The Senate adopted a resolution on Tuesday recommending the resumption of face-to-face classes through pilot testing in low-risk areas.

Senators filed Senate Resolution No. 668 to allow DepEd to gather evidence and design its framework for safely reopening schools, emphasizing the adverse effects of prolonged school closures on learners, especially the poor.

The resolution calls for stringent health protocols and guidelines set by DOH and IATF during pilot testing in over 1,000 public schools nationwide.
