JV Ejercito reinstated as deputy majority leader; Bong Go chairs youth committee

Sen. JV Ejercito has been reinstated as deputy majority leader in the Senate following a motion by Majority Leader Francis Tolentino during Tuesday's session.

Ejercito previously held this position under former Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri and was reelected on Tuesday with no objections, now serving under Senate President Francis Escudero.

In addition to Ejercito's reappointment, the Senate elected new leaders for two committees: Sen. Christopher 'Bong' Go as chairman of the committee on youth and Sen. Mark Villar as chairman of the committee on games and amusement.

Sen. Bong Go took over the youth committee chairmanship after its previous head, Senator Sonny Angara, resigned to become the new secretary of the Department of Education.

These changes reflect ongoing adjustments in leadership roles within the Senate following recent resignations.
