Senate House suspend sessions amid Metro-wide ECQ

The House of Representatives and Senate have suspended plenary sessions due to Metro Manila's enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from August 6 to 20.

Speaker Lord Allan Velasco signed a memorandum suspending work at the House starting August 5, while Senate President Vicente Sotto III said possible sessions before August 23 will be held if necessary.

Committee hearings may proceed via videoconferencing, and secretariat staffers doing 'extremely essential tasks' can report physically with an antigen test provided by the House.
