Scottie Thompson named PBA 50 Greatest Players at 31

Barangay Ginebra star Scottie Thompson became the youngest member of the PBA 50 Greatest Players list on Thursday, April 3.

The 31-year-old guard was among ten newest additions to the prestigious list, which includes retired legends like Nelson Asaytono and Yoyoy Villamin.

Thompson expressed gratitude for the recognition but emphasized that he still has more work ahead in his career.

He won MVP in 2021 and is a seven-time champion with Ginebra, earning accolades such as two Finals MVP awards.

Teammate Justin Brownlee praised Thompson's hard work and dedication, calling him deserving of the honor at a press conference where they were introduced as new Arena Plus ambassadors.

Brownlee highlighted Thompson's ability to grab rebounds like a much taller player and noted his consistent improvement over the years.
