Sara Duterte denies PDP-Laban presidential bid

On October 4, Sara Duterte, Davao City Mayor and daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, denied rumors that she would be the PDP-Laban's presidential candidate in the 2022 elections.

Sara stated she has no intention of becoming a member of PDP or running for president now or in the near future.

However, on October 2, President Duterte announced his daughter Sara and Senator Christopher Go as the tandem candidates for President and Vice President respectively.

Despite this announcement, Sara filed her certificate of candidacy for mayor of Davao City, while her brother Sebastian Duterte filed for vice mayor under the Hugpong ng Pagbabago party.
