Sara Duterte cancels Davao City celebrations until 2021

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has canceled all major events until January 1, 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The declaration includes the cancellation of city and national government celebrations such as Kadayawan festival in August, parties, anniversaries, and other festivities.

Mayor Duterte also ordered barangays to refrain from extravagant fiesta celebrations and scrap founding anniversary events.
