Sara dismisses fake hospital photos of Duterte, says he's healthy

Vice President Sara Duterte has dismissed circulating photos allegedly showing her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, bedridden in a hospital, calling them fake.

During a media interview, she insisted that her father appears healthier and leaner but not sick, noting he was walking with a cane earlier.

Duterte clarified that her father is housed in the regular wing of the detention unit and not in a hospital section, emphasizing his good health despite weight loss.

She added that former President Duterte lost a lot of weight but his face did not sag, describing him as 'glowing'.

When asked about potential health bulletins from the International Criminal Court (ICC), she said such matters would need to be addressed through legal counsel.

The former president was arrested on March 11 at the request of the ICC for its probe into his 'war on drugs' and appeared via video link before judges on March 14.

Vice President Duterte will return to Manila from The Netherlands on July 23, then travel to South Korea to update the Filipino community about her father's status and broader national issues.
