Sara asks supporters not to camp outside Comelec

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte asked supporters and media not to gather outside the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Manila.

Speculations are growing that Duterte may run for a national post in the May 2022 elections, following her withdrawal from the Davao City mayoralty race and resignation as chairperson of Hugpong ng Pagbabago.

Duterte also took oath as a new member of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), further fueling speculation about her potential candidacy.
